A Day in the Life of a Full-Day Tattoo Artist Photoshoot (Artist and Local Business Package Combined)
Preparation
Alice and I prepared for the shoot’s goals and Alice shared images of their favourite photography they were inspired by. This ensured we could capture both the shots of the tattoo process itself in the morning with her and her client and create a fun, playful, bedroom shoot to shoot the unique essence of Alice in the right atmosphere.
Morning: Studio and Client Session
Our day begins at The Ink Alchemist tattoo studio at Spirit Ash in Ashburton, where we start by capturing the details of her space and tools. The morning is dedicated to photographing a tattoo session with one of her clients. We take a mix of candid and posed shots, highlighting her skill and the client’s journey from consultation to the finished tattoo. We also captured professional headshots to showcase her personality and expertise.
Afternoon: Creative and Playful Moments
After lunch, we shift to a more relaxed and playful atmosphere. We changed locations and captured Alice in action, but this time in a more personal and candid setting. We took some fun and spontaneous shots of Alice in her home environment, playing around with ideas in her bedroom, bringing out the playful, introvert side of her artistic journey.
Review and Reflection
As the day wraps up, we review the photos together for Alice to highlight her favourites for editing and plan the final touches for her website and Instagram feed.
Two Half-Day Photoshoots with Billie Maree (Artists and Creatives Package)
Preparation
I had the pleasure of working with Billie Maree to create visual package for their upcoming single releases and ongoing promotional materials. The work included photos for social media, website content, and the sleeve of her record.
Preparation
Billie and I had an in-depth discussion about the goals for the photoshoots. They shared their vision and provided examples of photography styles and other musicians social media pages that inspired them. This collaborative process helped us design a plan to capture creative, beautiful shots that embodied their essence.
Nature Shoot
We spent the morning at Billie’s beloved riverside location, taking advantage of the natural light and serene environment. The setting provided a perfect backdrop for a series of photographs submerged in the river. Billie’s connection to this spot was evident, and it translated beautifully into the imagery which was featured on their record.
Studio and Music Session
On the second half-day, we started at Billie’s home studio, integrating elements from their musical environment. The morning session focused on photographing Billie in action, capturing both their musical process and artistic essence. We used a variety of props to create dynamic images that Billie can use to show their audience their process.
Capturing the Essence
Throughout the sessions, we aimed to showcase Billie’s creative flow, aura and essence. We took both candid and posed shots, ensuring a diverse collection of images that highlighted her artistic journey. These photos were designed to be versatile, serving multiple purposes from social media content to the album sleeve.
The end result was a set of vibrant, engaging photos that perfectly encapsulated Billie Maree’s artistic spirit, ready to be shared across her platforms. Photography has been featured on BBC introducing and other press release campaigns, as well as all major platforms.

A Half-Day in the Life of an Artist Photoshoot with Nirvan and McHappy
Preparation
Nirvan and I discussed the shoot’s goals, with Nirvan sharing images of photography that inspired him. This helped us plan to capture creative, playful shots of his spiritual character, McHappy.
Studio and Music Session
We started at Nirvan’s home, using props from his musical setup. The morning was dedicated to photographing McHappy in action, showcasing Nirvan’s musical process with a quirky slant and then using props to capture images Nirvan could edit in character post shoot. We captured both candid and posed shots, highlighting his creative flow and spiritual essence.

Preparation for the Photoshoot
I recently had the pleasure of collaborating with the band Lon Dubh to create a striking image for their upcoming tour poster. This half-day shoot on Dartmoor aimed to capture the band's essence and provide a compelling visual for their promotional materials.

Lon Dubh shared their inspiration, referencing photography styles and other musicians' promotional imagery that resonated with them. We spent the half-day taken shots across the rugged beauty of Dartmoor, utilising the natural light and dramatic landscapes to our advantage. The wooded tree setting provided an ideal backdrop, allowing us to capture the band's raw energy and connection to the environment. The unique location and the band's dynamic presence translated into a powerful image that featured on their tour poster and promo.
